Indian Concrete Institute Hyderabad: Advancing Concrete Excellence
The Centre was started in the year 1985 with about 53 members. The founder Chairman was Dr.R.Nagaraja The number of members enrolled as on date is 400+ individual members and 17 Organisational members. This centre is keen in nurturing the Student Chapters. There are about 18 students chapters registered under the centre, in 2013 the centre hosted the international conference IWC. This centre hosted the HQ’s AGM and Awards Function in 2001, 2010 & 2013.

Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) Hyderabad stands as a premier professional body in India, dedicated to serving the diverse needs of individuals and organizations engaged in the field of concrete. The foundation of ICI dates back to 1982 when SERC Chennai and Anna University collaboratively hosted an International Seminar on Modern Concrete Construction Practices. The overwhelming response to this event highlighted the growing demand for a dedicated platform focused on concrete technology, leading to the establishment of the Indian Concrete Institute. It began its journey with 500 members and five regional centers, setting the stage for a transformative movement in the sector.
Since its inception, ICI has grown exponentially, now boasting a robust network of over 14,500 members across 48 regional centers nationwide. This includes more than 393 organizational members, encompassing professionals from all sectors of the cement and concrete industries.
To achieve its mission, ICI regional centers actively organize a diverse range of knowledge-sharing initiatives, including national and international seminars, workshops, conferences, and exhibitions. These events serve as dynamic platforms where industry professionals, manufacturers, academicians, consultants, and researchers converge to exchange insights, explore innovations, and address industry challenges.
