DESCRIPTION:The latest draft of IS:456 marks a major shift from earlier editions. In this 5th revision\, prestressed concrete design is included and the code is retitled “Structural Concrete: Code of Practice”\, leading to the withdrawal of IS:1343-2012 after publication. Six design criteria-strength\, serviceability\, durability\, robustness\, integrity\, and restorability-have been introduced.
